Dr. Barbara Edington is Director of Strategic Management for The Ouellette Group.  Currently an assistant professor of IT at St. Francis College, Brooklyn,  NY, she develops and teaches courses in Project Management, Organizational Management, Business Applications, Web Design, E-Commerce, Business Technology, Database, Systems Analysis, Technology Law, and ethics. Prior to this “dream job,” she spent 20 years in the investment industry where she learned first hand about the importance of business and technology alignment. 


She has managed major investment and operational projects in her work at SEI where she was responsible for the development and launch of several proprietary mutual funds and packaged asset allocation programs. She directed the project from the senior management level and led cross-functional activities to deliver asset conversions for launch, back office shareholder and accounting system integration, plus legal and marketing functions in order to meet requirements on-time and budget. She has also managed projects for Goldman Sachs in NY as well as Goldman Sachs International in London where, as an Executive Director, she was involved in projects such as the euro conversion and offshore fund development. 


As a facilitator, she has worked with multi-disciplinary groups to develop new marketing directions, solve business process issues and improve rapport between functional project areas. She also spent some time as a Pharmaceutical research assistant. 


Barbara’s doctoral research was in the interdisciplinary area of management and technology where she proved a qualitative approach to assessing the business value of IT based on project implementation.  She holds a DPS in Computer Science and Information Systems from Pace University, an MBA in Finance from Temple University, and a BS in Psychobiology from Albright College.  Barbara has a PMP certification.



Mr. Raj Krishnan has been a senior instructor with the Ouellette Group since 2006.  He has been successful with the PMP Prep course as well as working with highly technical clientele.  Raj is a Quality Director for a major Alcatel-Lucent where he is responsible for product quality and compliance programs including CMMI and TL 9000.  He has extensive experience with ISO/TL 900, CMMI, CRS, and Six Sigma approaches to quality metrics and improvement. He has considerable international experience, having worked and lived in Japan and India for almost four years and supported many Projects in Asia-Pacific for an additional four years. Raj’s international experience and savvy, coupled with his technical and project perspectives, creates a dynamic and real-life scenarios in the classroom. 


He has expertise with Just-In-Time (JIT) manufacturing and taught various Courses at Northern Essex Community College, MA and AT&T for Inventory Management, Production Activity Control and JIT.  He has also taught Six sigma courses for local Community Colleges as a lecturer.  He has also taught in many countries outside USA ( Poland, Ireland and India).  In addition, he is also A professional DJ specializing in Bollywood and Hip-Hop music, among others.


As a certified PMP practitioner, he has been teaching PMP Prep courses for many US companies (Booz Allen Hamilton, JP Morgan, Citibank, Prudential, Dun & Bradstreet) and taught at Lucent Technologies and Alcatel-Lucent.    He has also taught Project Management courses for CUNY in New York City.  Besides his extensive teaching his other passion is music.  He has raised over $30,000 by DJ’ing various parties across the globe (USA, India, Egypt, Morocco, Israel and Turkey).


Raj completed his MPE at University of Pittsburgh and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology. He holds his APICS, PMP and Six Sigma Green Belt.



Dr. Peter Morales is a senior consultant and instructor with The Ouellette Group, is a senior technology manager with extensive experience in broad aspects of managing technology programs in financial institutions and major stock exchanges.  He holds key roles of significant responsibility as program and project manager, change agent and chief motivator, senior technical and business process architect.  He has a passion for engaged people to solve the most challenging problems in an organization.  A principal strength of Peter’s is the ability to leverage depth of experience to identify effective solutions and bringing people from diverse parts of the organization together to collaborate in the implementation.

 

Dr. Morales recently completed a Doctoral program focusing on quantitative software management practices.  As a PMP® -certified practitioner, he has taught certification classes within organizations such as NYSE Group’s SIAC division and JP Morgan Chase as well as City University’s Graduate Center.  He also taught college-level Project Management at St. Francis College in Brooklyn.

Beth Ouellette, Managing Director of The Ouellette Group, works with clients across the globe implementing value-added Portfolio, Program and Project Management best practices.

Because of Beth’s unique blend of business management and technology skills, she has been exceptionally successful in assisting organization in the establishment and leading of corporate-wide PMOs, with the emphasis on linking to and accomplishing strategic initiatives of the organization.  She has a unique talent which imbues professional project management practices, crucial communications, and applied soft-skills throughout the program’s life-cycle.  She works with the executive team to establish their business strategy, apply this to the framework of the PMO, plan for a balanced focus on people-process-technology, while utilizing customized mentoring, training, and consulting to establish the PM career path with PMP® certification.


She has experience in partnering with senior executives with large, complex initiatives across the US, Canada, South America, Europe, Asia, and India.  She has worked with small, medium, and large corporations in successfully. Beth has hands-on experience in the following industries: finance, banking, insurance, retail, utility, telecom, manufacturing, small business, academia, and the entertainment/luxury industry.


Beth set up and managed the Corporate Program Office to reengineer the securities trade life cycle at Prudential Financial, where she reported to the COO and EVP for the initiative.  This Program ran across all Businesses, Operations, and Systems that had any products or services backed by stocks.   Previously at Prudential, she set up and ran the IT PMO reporting to the Company’s CIO, which coordinated over 400 programs and projects, and accounted for $2.4 billion dollars of IT work.


She has been a facilitator, trainer and speaker across the globe on Project, Program, and Portfolio Management Office, set-up, management, productivity and quality improvement, Requirements Management, Business Analysis, Project Mentoring, Team building and Communications. She presented at the ProjectZone 2009 - 2013, Project Management Forum 2008, PMINYC Chapter, Career Development, and Round Table meetings, PMINJ Chapter meetings and Seminar@Sea, Delivering Project Excellence, CIO Forum, Enterprise Application Strategy Conference, IT World Congress, Women in Technology, and Women in Computing.  She has been published in Brazil, Canada, India and USA.  She has been published and quoted in publications including PMI Network, Information Week, Computerworld, PC Week,  Network World, Icfai University Press, PMI NJ News, PMI Baseline Newsletter, Mundo PM Project-Program-Portfolio, and PMI Montreal Quarterly Bulletin.  

Beth holds a Finance MBA from NYU’s Stern School, a BA in Education from Eastern Michigan University, and an AA in Computer Programming from Greenville Technical College.  She has been an active member of PMI since 2000, obtaining her PMP certification in 2002 and the PgMP credential in 2008.


She received the “Distinguished Contributor Award of the Year” in 2009 for her work in the PM Community and on the PMI Standards Teams.  In 2010, Beth received the “Component Leadership” of the Year Award for her contributions to the profession and the PMINYC chapter.


Beth has actively volunteered with PMI most recently starting and co-leading the Requirements Management Community of Practice - PMI’s fastest growing community nearing 20,000 members. She previously held a lead position for the Program and Portfolio Management Standard, released in May 2006, served as the Content Integration Analyst for the December 2008 release of PMBOK, Portfolio, Program and OPM3 Standards, and served on the PMINYC board of directors from 2008-2010, as the President of the Chapter in 2009.
